23 year old Sam Rose led the mens division from start to finish, averaging 231 for the event. Hadley Morgan was not far behind however, and with a stunning 277 game in the final match of the round robin, forced Rose to double and six count in the tenth frame, Morgan trailing by just 4 pins at the final hurdle.

In the ladies division, Lisa John made a huge return from injury to lead the field in Saturdays squad, and retain the lead during Sunday when Keira Reay came closest, 23 pins behind John's 1758. Once again, it all came down to the final game in the round robin, where Lisa and Keira faced each other head to head. Keira would need to beat Lisa by at least 26 pins to take victory, no mean feat against Lisa who not only has previously competed at the World Cup, but had been leading the qualifier at every stage. Lisa shot her only sub 200 game of they day with a 182, which allowed an on fire Keira to shoot 248 and jump into the lead position by 41 pins.

Both Keira Reay, and Sam Rose will now compete at the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in November this year. We wish them every success and will be following every ball.
